While we do not think ourselves to be “teachers,” we love sharing the craft of blacksmithing and knifemaking! Over the past few years we have opened up the shop to family and friends and now decided to make forging experiences a formal offering at 3 Arrows Forge. Our classes are an opportunity for individuals or small groups to use tools and techniques, both traditional and modern, to create a personal hand forged metal memory. We intentionally keep our classes private and small to allow for individualized experiences and full access to the shop.
The standard class is a rail spike knife making experience where participants leave with a finished knife and leather sheath. However, classes can be customized for various skill levels and interests. Each class costs $150 per participant (max 4 participants per class) and lasts approximately 4 hours. PLEASE NOTE: It is not possible to make a sword in a standard class. Swords can take well over 40 hours to complete and require advanced skills in blacksmithing, grinding, and fit & finish. It is also not advisable to make a dagger or knife with through tang construction for new students. These types of blades also take advanced skills and require more than 4 hours. Thanks!
